ETHNIC DAY 2023
World Ethnic Day is an opportunity to celebrate the cultures of different countries.
In the digital world ‘World is One’, yet we all carry different identities represented by what we wear, eat, believe and celebrate. Ethnic Day is a day of fun, music and party in a traditional way. Schoenstatt St.Mary’s PU College celebrated Ethnic Day on 16/09/2023.
Students came in their ethnic costumes. Girls were dressed in Ghaghara, Punjabi dress and traditional sarees and boys wore kurtas and dhotis and even jeweled turbans, like those worn by kings in ancient times.
The main message of the celebration was to respect the culture and tradition of our country.
India being an Ethnic and multi-cultural country, one could experience the Unity in Diversity in every tangible way in our college. This brought a feeling of pride and joy in being an Indian.
